The most talked about event across the globe at the moment is the summer Olympics which officially opened last night in Rio De Janerio.

Of the 11,458 atlethes at the Olympic, BBN can confirm that atleast 9 amongst the TeamGB are of Nigerian origin. It wpuld also interest you to know that three of the four athletes representing the nation in the 4×400m relay are of Nigerian origin.

Cindy Ofili
Beautiful and fast, Cindy is representing Great Britain in the 100m hudles race. She also celebrated her 22nd birthday yesterday just as the Olympic games opened.
Tiffany Porter
A PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) from the University of Michigan, Tiffany is competing alongside her younger sister, Cindy in the 100m hurdles race. Before marrying fellow hurdler in 5years ago, Tiffany was widely known as Tiffany Ofili. She is 28years old.
28-year-old James Dasaolu is the Second fastest Briton of all time. He was born in South London to Nigerian parents and is representing Britain in the 100m and 4×100m relay races.
Chijinju Ujah
Fast and daring, Chijinju who parents are Nigerian immigrants is the Youngest Briton sprinter to run 100m under 10 seconds. Now 22, he is in Rio for the the 100m men race as well as the 4×100 relay.
Ojie Edoburun
He might be competing on the big stage but Ojie is just 20years with big dreams. Born to Nigerian parents, he is in Rio for the 4×100 relay race.
Christine Ohuruogu
One of the most experienced atlethes in the British camp, Christine is a Olympic Gold and Silver winning sprinter. She is also Former World and Commonwealth Champion. She is repping GB in the 400m race as well as the 4×400m relay. She is 32 years old.
Anyika Onuora
31-year-old Anyika competes in the 100m, 200m and 400m. She would however be representing GB in the 4×400m relay.
Margaret Adeoye
Margeret Adeoye is a 200m, 400m and long distance specialist. This 31-year-old athlete of Yoruba Origin will be joining Christine Ohuruogu, Anyika Onuora and others in 4×400m relay.
