Barcelona signs Nigerian star, Asisat Oshoala on 3-year deal

Following an impressive loan spell with the female Catalans, Nigerian superstar, Asisat Oshoala has now been signed on a three year deal from her Chinese club, Darlian Quanjian.

The Ikorodu born footballer will now be officially playing her trade for European top side, Barcelona Ladies. 

Barcelona and Darlian Quanjian completed the deal yesterday despite Asisat being absent. The talented striker is currently far away in Austria where is with the Nigerian Super Falcons as they prepare for the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

Asisat Oshoala’s football clinic for school girls kicks off in Lagos

The three time Africa Women’s Footballer of the year made history when she scored Barcelona Femení’s loam goal at the 2019 Champions League final against Lyon. Although the Barca female side lost woefully by 4-1, Asisat however made history as the  first African and Nigerian to score in a women’s Champions League final. She is also the first African and Nigerian player to feature in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. 

Asisat Oshoala: The New Queen Of African Football

Asisat is expected to stay at Barcelona Femení till March, 2022 when the deal ends.
