Barcelona has parted ways with manager Xavi Hernandez after a disappointing season. The club announced the decision today, after thanking Xavi for his services and wishing him success in the future.

Xavi’s departure had been rumored for weeks, following a public falling out with club leadership. Despite initially announcing his resignation, Xavi was convinced to stay on for the remainder of the season. However, the club has now made a U-turn, and Xavi will receive a €20 million severance package.

According to reports, Barcelona has already reached a verbal agreement with Hansi Flick, former manager of Bayern Munich and the German national team, to take over as Xavi’s replacement. The club is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days.

Xavi will manage his final game for Barcelona on Sunday against Sevilla, bringing an end to his tumultuous tenure as manager. The club is looking to bounce back from a disappointing season, and Flick’s appointment is seen as a major coup in their quest for success.
