Mr Segun Onilude, the Chairman of Badagry Local Government has expressed plans to name the newly constructed ultra-modern council legislative building after the late Oba C.D Akran.

The statement quoted the chairman saying that the commissioning of the building would be part of the programme for his 100 days in the office
“We will be naming the new legislative building of Badagry Local Government after one of Badagry’s illustrious sons and political titan, Oba C.D. Akran.
“The legacy and good works of the late Oba C.D. are still visible in Badagry Local Government and beyond. It was during his tenure of office as Minister and reign as King that many basic and modern amenities were brought to Badagry.
“These include; establishment of Badagry Grammar School in 1955, establishment of telephone and telegraphic lines in 1956, pipe borne water in 1955 and the Jute Bag Factory.
“Our administration will name projects after our heroes, so we understand the need to work hard and build many facilities to improve the ancient city,” Onilude said.
