Babajimi Benson Inspects Mini Stadium, Ongoing Schools In Ikorodu

The House of Representatives member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Babajimi Benson, on Monday, visited sites of ongoing projects in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Benson, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, inspected 8 schools, a mini sports complex under construction, while saying that his office will be concentrating more on infrastructural development to reaffirm the commitment of his party, the All Progressives Congress, to the promotion of dividends of democracy.

The eight schools include Ayangburen Junior Secondary School, Ikorodu where a storey building of 8 classroons is being constructed; Methodist Primary School, Igbogbo, a storey building of 8 classrooms; Ipakodo Primary School, a storey building of 8 classrooms; Odoguyan Senior Secondary School; UPE Primary School, Ajaguro Agric, Ikorodu West; Omolaye Pimary School, Agbede; Luwasa Junior Secondary School, Ijede; Community Junior Secondary School, Mowonla; Saint Saviour Igbaga, six block of classrooms, with facilities and toilets and Salvation Army School, 3 block of classrooms.

Since assumption of office in 2015, Babajimi Benson has facilitated the construction of over 20 schools within Ikorodu in the last five years.

While speaking with newsmen, he mentioned that two primary health centres he facilitated will be commissioned on Friday, stating he has been in touch with the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board to deploy health workers to the centre.

The sports complex under construction and situated at Ita-Elewa area of Ikorodu Local Government, will feature a pavilion for spectators, a mini football pitch and basketball court. The engineer in charge of the project, Architect Abdulazeez, told BlackBox Nigeria that the plan is to ensure the project is completed in 12 weeks.
