Internationally recognized Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has claimed the coveted No. 1 spot on Apple Music’s Nigerian Top 100 songs chart with her song, “Commas”.

The Mavin signee dethroned Kizz Daniel’s “Twe Twe” remix featuring Davido, which had held the top spot for about a month.

Since her breakout in the industry, the 21-year-old has consistently delivered hit songs and captured the attention of music lovers across Africa and beyond. Her debut single, “Bloody Samaritan,” released in July 2021, set the stage for her rise and became an anthem for fans worldwide.

In September 2022, Ayra Starr made headlines again when her single “Rush” soared to the top of Apple Music chart in Nigeria, surpassing singers like Asake. Her singles, released in an Album “19 and Dangerous,” and collaborations with artists like Wizkid and Omah Lay have further solidified her position as one of Nigeria’s most promising talents.

Despite missing out on a Grammy win alongside fellow Nigerian artists, Ayra Starr’s latest achievement on Apple Music serves as a consolation and a testament to her growing influence in the music industry.
