Quadri’s Aruna Jr, the 11year-old son of Nigerian Table Tennis icon, Quadri Aruna has established his name as an emerging champion to watch out for following his exploits at the just concluded World Table Tennis Contender event where he clinched bronze.

Despite being his first attendance in an international competition , Aruna Jr. shined in far away Villarreal, Spain.

His excited mum, Ganiyat Aruna who doubles as his coach took to social media on Saturday to express her joy over the boy’s achievement.

“WHAT A WAY TO END THE WTT YOUTH CONTENDER VILA REAL! The past few days haven’t been easy, but thank God for the happy ending,” she expressed happily.

She emphasized the significance of Quadri Aruna Jr.’s bronze medal at his debut WTT appearance and expressed optimism for his future in the sport.

Acknowledging the role of family support and sponsorship in Quadri Aruna Jr.’s success, Aruna Ganiyat extended her appreciation to Joola Global and her husband, saying, “Thanks to @joolaglobal Thanks to my wonderful husband for his continued support. May God continue to bless, guide, and protect you (Amen).”

Quadri Aruna Jr.’s achievement at the WTT Youth Contender Vila Real is not only a milestone in his burgeoning table tennis career but also serves as inspiration for his sister, Mariam, who also participated in the tournament.

With the unwavering support of his family and sponsors, Quadri Aruna Jr. is poised to continue making strides in the sport, showcasing his talent and determination on the international stage.

However, it was gathered that
Quadri Aruna could not take part in the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships in Busan, South Korea, because of food poisoning.
