Was Atiku’s Phone Call Real As Wife Of Slain Soldier Denies Receiving Any Phone Call

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Atiku Abubakar took to his Twitter account yesterday in the mood of X-Mas to express his condolences with the widow of Lt. Col. Ibrahim Sakaba on her loss.

Atiku expressed that the aim behind this gesture is to spare a thought for members of the armed forces in the frontlines on the war against terror.

This Tweet ever since, attracted commendation from majority of his followers on Twitter until another news broke this morning of which the wife debunked claims that Atiku called her.

The wife of the late Lt. Col Ibrahim Sakaba, one of the 44 soldiers killed by Boko Haram insurgents during an attack on 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Borno State last month, affirmed that she never received any call from the former Vice-President.
She wondered why Atiku would tell lies.

“Why the lies? I have not received any call from Atiku please,” she said.
