Grammy nominee, Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake has finally broken his silence on the viral claim of neglecting his father, Fatai Odunsi.
In a video posted on his verified page, Asake addressed the allegations in a musical tone, acknowledging the difficulties his family faced during his childhood and the insatiable wants of human.
Paradoxically, he emphasized on the viral claim of abandoning his father who was allegedly battling with stroke and how people claimed his mother was behind the neglect of his father.
According to reports, it was revealed that his parents separated when he was just three years old, and his father struggled to care for him, often relying on support from his mother’s family.
Asake expressed gratitude towards his father for his efforts in raising him, despite the challenges they faced.
He also acknowledged the significant role his mother played in his life, stating that he adopted her name as his stage name as a tribute to her influence on his music career.
The singer’s response comes after widespread criticism and public outcry over his alleged neglect of his father.
Asake’s music career has been on the rise, with several hit albums, including “Mr. Money with the Vibe,” “Work of Art,” and “Lungu Boy”.
