Arsenal returned to the top in the Premier League after overcoming Liverpool in a fascinating 3-2 win at the Emirates.

A brace from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli secured Arsenal’s first Premier League win over Liverpool since July 2020.

Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino were the scorers for Liverpool who have now suffered their second loss in the league.

Arsenal got off to the perfect start as Martinelli broke the deadlock in the first minute after being found expertly by Martin Odegaard.

Also, Cristiano Ronaldo reached a new milestone after scoring his 700th club goal to put Manchester United 2-1 up against Everton.

United were 1-0 down in the early stages when a Casemiro error allowed Alex Iwobi to curl home a worldie.

The Red Devils pulled level when Antony notched his third goal in as many Premier League games and then Ronaldo completed the turnaround just before half-time.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner slotted past Jordan Pickford with his left foot for a record-breaking goal.
