The Premier League has announced on Friday the fixtures for the 2026/27 season, with champions Arsenal set to launch their title defence against newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.
The opening fixture of the new campaign will see Mikel Arteta’s men host Frank Lampard’s Coventry on Friday, August 21, in a match that will officially usher in the new season.
Manchester City, who finished second behind Arsenal last term, begin their campaign at home against Bournemouth, while Manchester United face a trip to another newly promoted side, Hull City.
Chelsea will renew their rivalry with Fulham in a West London derby at Craven Cottage, while Liverpool face a stern test away to Newcastle United in one of the headline clashes of the opening weekend.
According to the Premier League, the 2026/27 season will comprise 33 weekend rounds and five midweek rounds.
