Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has been left seriously injured after getting stabbed at a supermarket in Italy.

Reports from Italy claim Pablo Mari was stabbed at Carrefour in the Milanofiori di Assago at around 6:30 pm.

The defender, who is currently on loan at Serie A outfit AS Monza from Arsenal, is among five people who were stabbed in the harrowing incident.

Daily Mail reports that two of the six people who were stabbed are in less-serious condition, but Mari’s state is currently uncertain.

It has been claimed that a man, around the age of 46, picked up a knife from the shelves and started randomly stabbing people.

Witnesses who were around the scene claim they initially thought it was a robbery after seeing people running for their lives.
