Army Conducts Environmental Sanitation at Onigbongbo Community of Lagos

The Commander 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig Gen Musa Awwal Etsu-Ndagi on Saturday flagged off an Environmental Sanitation Exercise at Ajegunle and Akerele area of Onigbongbo Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Brigadier General Etsu Musa Ndagi, said in his speech that “It is important that we engage activities to improve military relations,so that the good people of Lagos today and of course in 81 area of Responsibilities will understand that we are for them and not against them.

“Even if criminal elements weep out sentiments, it won’t go beyond the criminals they will just be talking ,while the good people in our area of responsibility will understand what we are doing and support us and that is why we have also on crocodile smile our medical outreach , educational support for schools.

“This clean up will forster closure between the force and the society, they can share vital information with us.

“The essence of gathering here is for the sanitation exercise which is part of the Civil Military Corporation activities which as been slated for exercise crocodile smile IV. The aim generally is to win out the minds.

“We will continue to conduct operation crocodile smile IV ,and other forms of operation crocodile smile ,medical outreach and educational support.

“After the flag off of operation crocodile smile IV , we arrested a suspected drug barron , who was caught with sixty wrapps of a substance suspected to be cracked cocaine which has been handed over to NDLEA.

“The following day, 22nd of November, we saved two victims from been kidnapped. On the 23rd of November ,we received an information that some cultist were having a meeting in a particular location along Mile 2 Orile Road ,we stormed the place and arrested sixty persons ,even though the suspects claimed to be traders”.
