By Aregbesola’s Mother, Late Saratu Interred Amidst Tears In Ilesha
The remains of late Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola, mother of State of Osun Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, was committed to mother earth on Tuesday evening at her residence located in Ilofin area of Ilesha.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the burial of ‘Mama Olobi’ was slightly delayed to avail Governor Aregbesola return from Kebbi State where he had gone for a meeting with other Governors.
The late Alhaja Saratu’s younger children, grandchildren and well wishers couldn’t hold back their tears as her remains was lowered into the ground.
In his short sermon during the burial, the Chief Imam of Osogboland, Sheik Musa Animasahun implored everybody, irrespective of religious background to strive and live an exemplary life.
He said, “we should all be interested in what people would say or their opinions after our sojourn on earth.”
Aregbesola, who looked calm and relaxed throughout the burial, was being consoled by some of the dignitaries, who thronged his family house to pay his mother their last respect.
Eminent dignitaries, who attended the burial include the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Titi Laoye Tomori, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Secretary to the Osun State Government (SSG), Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Osun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Adelani Baderinwa, former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Sunday Akere, Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, among others.
