News reaching BlackBox Nigeria fromOgun Abeokuta has it that the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate for the Ogun State governorship election, Dapo Abiodun has won the election.

Although official figures have not been obtained by BlackBox Nigeria, it was gathered that Dapo Abiodun defeated Governor Ibikunle Amosu’s Allied Peoples Movement, APM candidate, Adekunle Akinlade and PDP’s Buruji Kashamu.
Dapo Abiodun won in most of the local governments already collated to emerge victorious at the polls.

The APC candidate was able to get support from numerous quarters in the build up to the election, one of his most relevant support also came in the final minutes from former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who endorsed him ahead of his party’s candidate, Kashamamu and his protégée, Gboyega Isiaka.
