APC group adopts Olusola Oke as its gubernatorial candidate ahead of Ondo polls

The seven-man Gubernatorial Candidate Selection Committee, Ondo, on March 23, reached a unanimous decision to select a candidate who will represent the Unity Forum in the Ondo state 2020 general election. Blackboxnigeria gathered.

The decision for the selection of a representative is due in part of the failure of the aspirants to reach a consensus on a person to represent them as a candidate.

In taking the unanimous decision, all ten aspirants are; Dr Segun Abraham, Barrister Olarewaju Kazeem, Barrister Bukola Adetula, Prince Dapo Adelegan, Mr. Adelami Olayide Owolabi, Mr. Akintunde Akinsewa Awodeyi, Barrister Mrs. Jumoke Anifowose, Chief Olusola oke, Engr Ife Oyedele and Prince Jimmy Odimayo.

While all ten of the aspirants agreed on a recommended candidate to represent the committee, one of the aspirants insisted the selection process must be credible.

Consequently, on March24, 2020, six members of the committee met to debate selecting the representative in line with the Committee’s terms of reference and concurrence of the aspirants.

Hence, four of the six members opted for Chief Olusola OkeSAN, while two others opted for a technocrat and a female aspirant respectively.
