Jimi Agbaje, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, has reacted to reports that he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Agbaje, the 2015 and 2019 governorship candidate of the PDP in the state, had been reported to have switched camps to back the APC presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
In what may be considered a swipe at the former Lagos governor and his supporters, Agbaje said it was the turn of Nigerians — and not Tinubu.
“EYIN KO LOKAN O. Nigerians lokan. Jimi Agbaje – PDP. July 13, 2022,” he tweeted on Wednesday afternoon.

It would be recalled that Tinubu had hinged his presidential bid on the argument that it was his turn to become Nigeria’s president which birthed the now-viral phrase, “Emi lokan” loosely translated to mean “it is my turn”.
