The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria has once again taken legal action against an indebted airline as a Federal High Court ordered the take over of the company.
The new airline now in the kitty of the asset management company is Odengene Air-shuttle Services, OAS, situated at Maryland, Lagos.
It was gathered that OAS was among the airlines that received Federal Government intervention fund during the administration of ex-president, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
OAS is the leading helicopter services in Nigeria as it transports over 55% of chattered bookings in the country.
It will be recalled that just last week, AMCON took over the nation’s leading and West Africa’s largest airline, Arik Air due to unpaid debts among other irregularities.
It was however gathered that similar attributes may have caused OAS handing over to AMCON.
As at the time of filing this report, the premises of the helicopters service carries a poster with “POSSESSION TAKEN TODAY 14/02/2017 BY AMCON COURT ORDER ON SUIT NO FHC/4CS/1139/2016”
