By If you use WhatsApp in Nigeria, there is every chance that you must have come across a viral picture — the name of Jesus written in boldly written in red on a white background.
Literally every Christian from fervent church goers to even the occasional ones have shared this particular picture across different social media platforms, in what may be considered a show of faith in their Lord and personal Saviour.
A quick check on Twitter shows that ‘Jesus’ is now trending with thousands of tweets in the last couple of hours. Some tweeps had even jokingly insinuated that rapture might have taken place.
Interestingly, it all started on Tuesday morning when celebrated gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey posted the said picture on his Instagram page, asking followers to make it their display picture across their respective social media handles.
He wrote, “Can we make this our profile picture at 12 noon on all your social media handles? (WAT) in a few minutes Time. And also share as a post on your timeline and as your story. And for the rest of the day ??? And also declare that name into the atmosphere JESUS! Let the world ask what is going on. And we’ll tell them – JESUS IS GOING ON! Can we do this? Tag others!

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adebayo also posted the now-viral picture on his verified Twitter page.

The tweet has since gotten over 29,600 retweets, 73,500 likes and over 2,000 comments.
Call it ‘Daddy G.O effect’ if you want, before anyone can say Jack, the picture is now trending everywhere, as many Christians continue to spread the name ‘Jesus’. This perhaps explains how the picture got to your WhatsApp or Twitter timeline.
