Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage is set to make a powerful return to the music scene with the release of her new album, This One Is Personal, scheduled for August 29.

The project marks her first full-length body of work since her critically acclaimed 2020 album, Celia.

Sharing the news on her X account on Tuesday, Savage revealed that the 13-track project will delve into themes of pain, growth, and resilience, presenting a deeply personal soundscape.

Recorded across Nashville, London, and Lagos, the album features limited but carefully chosen collaborations, including UK rapper Skepta and emerging Nigerian talent Taves.

“I wanted you all to feel me in every song. The few features I chose were very intentional, with people who understood the vision and could add to the message without taking away from its intimacy. It’s less about numbers and more about connection,” Savage said during a fan Q\&A on X.

The singer explained that This One Is Personal mirrors her journey over the past five years, reflecting career shifts, motherhood, and self-discovery.

Since the announcement, fans worldwide have flooded social media with excitement, using the hashtag #ThisOneIsPersonal to interact with Savage and discuss the stories behind each track.

With anticipation building, the project is expected to be one of the most talked-about Afrobeats releases of 2025.
