No doubt as build up to the 2019 elections, The popular Youth Against Violence Accord (YAVA) organised by the #NotTooYoungToRun team Lagos, Ikorodu chapter to engage candidates in the forthcoming polls is indeed gaining ground as in the past week three legislative candidates within the Ikorodu division of Lagos State signed the dotted line of the peace accord.
The ball first stopped at the table of Hon Abayomi shamusideen (Omoadugbo), Candidate of the Alliance for Democracy AD for the Ikorodu Constituency 1 seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Also, Hon. Saka Solaja of the All Progressives Congress APC seeking re-election to represent Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly on Friday 13th January 2019 penned down his signature on the document.
Hon Oyebanjo Adeola, Candidate of African Democratic Congress ADC for Ikorodu Constituency 2 was not also left out of the deal as she signed the peace Accord yesterday, Saturday 12th January 2019.
The peace accord according to the organizers is to ensure a peaceful election and discourage any form of violence before, during and after the election.
One will recall that few weeks ago, the governorship aspirant of both the PDP and APC in Lagos State signed the deal. While legislative wise in Ikorodu, Hon. S.O.B Agungbiade and his PDP counterpart, Mukaila A Lamina both appended their signature to the peace accord.
