The Publisher of Sahara Reporters and Convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore was moments ago granted bail a Federal High Court, Abuja.

Sowore who was arraigned by the Prosecutors of the Federal Government was presented before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, who granted him bail to the tune of N100m.

The presiding Judge also added that Sowore was restricted from travelling outside the nation’s capital, Abuja and stated that no rally nor protest should be held while he is on bail.

It will be recalled that the home of Sowore, who was the presidential candidate of the AAC was invaded by operatives of the DSS in the early hours of August 3rd, 2019 and arrested. The DSS later got an order to hold him for 45days.

Few weeks ago, the Federal High Court Abuja presided by Justice Taiwo Taiwo ordered the Secret Police to release Sowore since it failed to arraign him when the detention order elapsed.

Unsatisfied with the bail order, the DSS rearraigned Sowore in the same Court on Monday, September 30th, but before Justice Ojukwu, with the hope of getting an order to keep HI in in detention, but the Judge in her judgement stated that the prosecution failed to state why the defendants couldn’t be bailed.
