By A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Benson has congratulated a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Benson, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Defense, said Tinubu’s success at the party’s special national convention did not come to him as a surprise, adding that it is a well deserved victory owing to his capability and political influence in the country.
He described the APC National Leader as a political titan who has developed leaders that have contributed and still contributing to the political, economic and socio-economic development of the country.
Benson noted that he has a firm belief in the fact that the former governor will take Nigeria to the next level as previously done in Lagos State.
On Wednesday, Tinubu won the APC presidential primary after he polled 1,271 votes to beat his closest challenger, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who had 316 votes.
