One Ikidi Innocent, 51-year-old has been jailed by an Oredo Magistrate’s Court for allegedly using an expired Union Bank ATM card to buy drinks and meat in Edo State.
Innocent who was arraigned on three count charges of cheating and obtaining by false pretense was said to have tricked one blessing John and Dorothy Amaka to purchase meat and beer for his consumption.
The Police Prosecutor, Patrick Agbonifo, told the court that innocent had purchased fried meat valued N1500, beer valued N9000 and alcoholic drinks valued N3, 730.
Ivie Akhere, the presiding magistrate, sentenced the convict to three months in prison with an option of fine.
