Nigerian superstar Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and socialite Balogun Samson, alias Sam Larry, have regained their freedom on Friday. This follows their fulfillment of bail conditions, as reported by BlackBox Nigeria.
The announcement was made in a statement by Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command. Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the release, stating, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
The court had granted bail to the duo on Monday, November 6, setting the bail amount at N20 million with three responsible sureties. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
This development follows their arrest by the police in connection with the investigation into the mysterious death of Mohbad.
