By Just In: Senate Passes NotTooYoungToRun Bill
The Nigerian Senate moments ago accent to the inclusion of youth in governance and passed the Not Too Young To Run Bill into Law.
The decision was arrived at during the Constitution Review and lawmakers were asked to vote and the Bill got a total of 86 votes.
10 other lawmakers voted against the Bill while one lawmaker abstained from the voting exercise.
It was gathered that the Bill got a major boost on Tuesday, July 25th when Nigerian youth staged a protest from Unity Fountain to the National Assembly.
The Bill now permits youth from age 35 to contest for elective positions.
