30 Years After Establishment, FG Splits NIPOST To Zones

The federal government of Nigeria has announced her decision to split the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) into 7 zones and 6 commercial commercial units.

This information was made known by Mr Frank Alao, NIPOST spokeman yesterday.

Alao said, the post master, Bisi Adegbuyi, has approved the un-bundling of its offices across the 36 states of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory.

The order to split NIPOST will see the state captured into zones and would be managed by an appointed Zonal manager who receives and gives reports to the Post Master General.

Frank in his words made it known that the zonal arrangement is aimed at entrenching the principle of delegation and devolution of powers.
