By The capital of Niger State , Minna is currently on a lockdown as it appears all the creme-de-la-creme of the Nigeria’s elite class are presently in town for General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida’s last daughter, Halima wedding to Auwal Abdullahi.
According to updates from the North-West State, private jets numbering 26, four aircraft belonging to the Nigeria Police Force and one Air Force aircraft all landed some hours ago for the wedding Fatiha.
The former Head of State, General Babangida earlier today gave his daughter’s hand in marriage to Abdullahi, a businessman who is also the Sarkin Sudan of Gombe.
The event was well attended by top political figures such as past president, former Heads of State, former and serving Governors, former Ministers, former and serving lawmakers, captains of industries, among other top government officials.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the sum of N500,000 and 10 cows were paid as bride price for Halima. It was received by Garba Wushishi who then handed over the bride to Ibrahim Dankwanbo, Governor of Gombe State.
