25th LASU convocation: NiDCOM boss Dabiri-Erewa grateful as she’s listed among doctorate degree honorees

The Chairman/CEO of Nigeria In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has expressed her gratitude to the Lagos State University for considering her worthy of a honorary doctorate degree.

Recall BlackBox Nigeria reported that the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, during a press conference on Wednesday, listed Dabiri-Erewa as one of the 6 eminent dignitaries to be conferred with honorary doctorate degrees during the 25th LASU convocation ceremony

Reacting to the aforementioned report, the NiDCOM boss, via her verified Twitter page, appreciated the Lagos State University for the honour. She tweeted, “Highly honoured, excited and grateful.”

Dabiri-Erewa also replied to another Twitter user, @AdedayoAdefajo who congratulated her on the feat.

“Well, means a lot to me that my very first Honorary doctorate is coming from my state University, the state of excellence,” she said.

Meanwhile, other dignitaries to be honoured with doctorate degrees include Governors Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Babagana Zulum of Kano and Borno States respectively, Chairman of Ikeja Hotel PLC, Mr Goodie Ibru, the Chair Centre Group, Mrs Ibukunoluwa Abiodun Awosika. While Professor Peter Akinsola Okebukola (OFR) will be conferred with the Emeritus Professor rank.

The LASU VC revealed that the selected individuals will be awarded on the 8th and final day of the convocation ceremony on Thursday, March 24.
