2017 Ready Set Work Sensitisation Holds In LASU

In-spite of the Public Holiday declared by the Lagos State Government in commemoration of the annulled June 12, 1993 election, Students of Lagos State University today, 12th June, 2017, turned out en-mass for the Sensitization/Briefing Programme for the 2017 Ready Set Work project, which held at the University Main Auditorium, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

The programme, organized by the Office of the Special Adviser on Education to prepare the (Final Year and Non-Final Year) Students for the 2017 edition of the Ready Set Work project, had in attendance Officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Education, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr Obafela Bank-Olemoh.

The members of Management, Lagos State University, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Lanre Fagbohun, Deans of Faculties of the institution, Directors and other members of Staff were also present at the Sensitization programme.

2000 final year students from six Lagos State based tertiary institutions will participate in the 2017 edition of the programme scheduled to hold for 13 Saturdays, starting on June 24th.

It was also disclosed at the briefing that this year’s edition also plans to provide Online Academy for 12,000 students who will be preparing for the next edition. This is the first time this will be introduced in the programmed.

Also, about 5,000 internship placements will be provided in partner organisations for successful participants at the end of the programme.
