- She was born Alice Iyabo Ogunro on December 21, 1977 in Lagos.
- Although born in Lagos, Iyabo originally hails from Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
- She attended National College, Gbagbada in Lagos for her Senior School Leaving Certificate.
- Iyabo Ojo also studied Estate Management from Lagos State Polytechnic before eventually venturing into acting.
- She got her acting opportunity after a chance meeting with Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola who guided her.
- Iyabo Ojo made her Nollywood debut in 1998 in an English movie titled ‘Satanic’. She however had to wait about 4 years before venturing into Yoruba movies. She made her Yoruba debut in 2002 in ‘Baba Darijinwon’.
- In 1999, Iyabo got married to a movie marketer changing her surname from Ogunro to Ojo.
- The union produced two kids, Festus Oladunjoye Ojo (born 1999) and Priscilla ‘Priscy’ Ojo (born 2001). The marriage however didn’t last as the couple divorced prematurely.
Iyabo Ojo and her kids, Festus and Priscillia - Iyabo Ojo also has a foundation known as ‘Pinkies Foundation’. It was established in May 2011 to cater for the less privileged and children with special needs.
- The award winning actress has in recent times enlarged her business empire by establishing her own fashion house known as ‘Fepris World’ and an exquisite local restaurant on the Island called ‘Abula Spot’.
