By Barely hours after escaping assassination attempt, Senator Dino Melaye ignored the casualties of the incident but praised God for his bulletproof car which ‘saved’ him from being hit.
It will be recalled that the lawmaker was attacked at the front of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja on Monday June 12th as he was addressing his supporters over matters arising in the State.
It was reported that no less than three persons were hit by bullet from the yet to be identified gunmen who opened fire on the group that gathered to listen to the lawmaker.
Senator Melaye after revealing the assassination attempt on twitter sent another tweet which he used to disclosed that his vehicle, a bulletproof one, was responsible for him not being hit by the assailant bullets.
This tweet has since been causing heated argument as some regarded the tweet from the Senator as not being sensitive to the lives of supporters who were not covered with same vehicle that saved him.
