By Zero fatality has been recorded after 2 different boats had a mishap along the Ojo-Badagry axis of Lagos State, Blackbox Nigeria gathered.
According to the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), the first incident occurred after unsuspected fishing lines of a fishing boat obstructed the movement of a passenger ferry carrying 17 passengers.
The second boat with 8 passengers and 2 crew members on board, was said to have capsized after colliding with a dredger pile abandoned on the waterways.
LASWA, in a bid to forestall a re-occurrence of such incident, installed safety maker buoys at the dangerous locations, necessary to warn ferry operators and other waterway users.
