By Youths Move Against Self-imposed Onigbanko of Igbanko Land In Oriade LCDA
The Youths of Irede Town have raised alarm over the “unlawful and irresponsible actions” of one Mr Sheriff Bello and his accomplices who forcefully installed himself as the Onigbanko of Igbanko Land, Irede town in Ori-ade LCDA under Amuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.
The Youths alleged that Sheriff is not the legitimate candidate for the throne and he is known to have criminal records of unlawfully selling lands in the community. They called on the Lagos State Government to intervene before the situation spiral out of control as the youth are determined against his candidacy.
“The Lagos State Government should disregard Sherrif Bello in any relation with the throne of the Onigbako of Igbanko Land, as he is not a legitimate candidate to the throne.” The youths cried.
The youths established that there is an existing court injunction restraining Sheriff from laying claims to the throne.
”There is an ongoing case at the Badagry High Court in suit No; BD/2098GCMW/2016. It is known to the entire world that when there is a pending case in which judgement has not been delivered or dismissed, no party in the suit can take action regarding the subject matter. The subject matter here is the same throne of ONIGBANKO OF IGBANKO LAND that sherrif Bello wants to forcefully ascend, ” the youths told BlackBox Nigeria in a statement.
