Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola popularly known DJ Cuppy has reacted to billionaire rapper, Kanye West’s recent claims that he is the richest black man in the world.
During an appearance on Hollywood Unlocked hosted by Jason Lee, Kanye West had narrated how he was stopped from entering his kids’ room despite being the richest black man alive.
“I was like, I am the richest Black man and North’s father, right, and the security was able to stop me from going into the room with my daughter and that had not been defined,” the rapper had said.
Kanye West told Hollywood Unlocked that he was stopped from entering Kim Kardashian's house:
“My daughter wanted me to go inside. I was like, I am the richest black man and North's father, right, and the security was able to stop me from going into the room with my daughter.” pic.twitter.com/o066xLOHJE

Forbes magazine would later debunk Kanye West’s claims, saying he was nowhere near his purported net worth.
Also sharing her thoughts on the reports, DJ Cuppy, in a tweet on Sunday, declared that though she is a fan of the rapper, her godfather, billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote occupies the position of the richest black man.
“Random, I know I am a HUGE @KanyeWest fan. However with ALL due respect, I feel the need to remind him that he is not the “richest black man” – it is in fact my Godfather @AlikoDangote. Just clearing the air with #Facts,” the billionaire heiress wrote.
