Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has taken to social media to accuse the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, of not respecting the rule of law.
The accusation comes after the tragic shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of Irewole Local Government chairman, Remi Abass, and two others at the local government secretariat in Ikire, Osun State.
The attack, which took place on Monday, saw gunmen storming the secretariat in broad daylight, firing multiple shots and leaving three dead.
The incident has sparked outrage across the state and led to Davido’s angry tweet aimed at the Commissioner of Police.
In his Instagram post, Davido expressed his frustration and called Abba a “disgrace” to his children, further challenging the Commissioner to respect the law.
He wrote: “Mr Umar Abba Osun State commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children! Game on. All of us go mad together. Werey.”
The singer also continued with his accusations, urging Abba to adhere to the rule of law and warning him to be prepared for the consequences.
“Mr commissioner respect the rule of law. You are not madder or crazier than us. Make we all kuku mad. MEN MOUNT,” he said.
Davido’s comments have generated mixed reactions on social media, with some supporting his stance on holding authorities accountable, while others have condemned his language owing to his uncle being the governor of Osun.
