Xenophobia: Buhari sends envoy to SA as he frowns over the killings

Nigeria’s president, Muhamadu Buhari has broken his silence over the unlawful killings of Nigerians in South Africa as he sends an envoy to note his great displeasure over the anomaly.

 In a statement released by the Presidency in Abuja today, the envoy is expected to land in Pretoria by Thursday.

The statement which was signed by President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina explained that the presidency was deeply concerned over the xenophobic attack on Nigerian citizens and properties in SA since August 29, 2019.

PMB had also instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama to summon the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria to get a brief on the crisis necessary to proffer lasting solutions.
