Ayo Adedeji Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has stirred controversy by openly criticizing Davido’s musical career, calling him “wack” and claiming he has “no talent.”
This came in response to a tweet from one of Davido’s fans, Andrew McKnight, who asked Wizkid, “So if you no beef @davido your song won’t sell??” Wizkid fired back with the blunt reply, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent! ”
The situation escalated after Wizkid initially tweeted, “Pussy boys dropping mids again!” — seemingly a jab aimed at artists releasing average songs. Coincidentally, Davido had posted on October 1st, announcing, “First single of the year loading,” which many assumed Wizkid’s post was referencing.
This sparked outrage among Davido’s fanbase. Notable responses included Daniel Regha, who tweeted, “Wizkid u can’t be talking about ‘mids’ when u urself have n@t dropped a hit song for yrs; And mind ur language.”
Another fan, David, passionately defended Davido, stating, “Davido is the reason why people around the world listen to Nigeria music, OBO king . Thank God Davido doesn’t disgrace his fans but works very hard for an award, Yes, he is our role model for all boys.”
