In a surprising turn of events, popular Nigerian musician Wizkid has hinted at taking a break from the music scene.
His Instagram posts on Sunday left fans speculating about his future plans.
The ‘Essence’ crooner revealed that he might step away from music for four or five years to explore other interests.
In his characteristic pidgin English, Wizkid wrote, “Make una papa chop him money small for four years, or maybe five. I fit still go dey play ball now. Or make I start dey play golf. FIFA or wrestling, b*tch! All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.”
He also expressed well wishes for his fans, saying, “On some G shit, I hope you mofuckas alright—body, mind, and soul—and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones.”
This isn’t the first time Wizkid has announced a hiatus. Back in 2019, via his X account, he tweeted, “Gone till March! Thank you.” Now, it seems he’s contemplating another musical break, leaving fans curious about what lies ahead for the talented artist..
