Award winning act Davido has once again shown support for the Super Eagles, placing a bold $25,000 (approximately N36 million) bet on Nigeria’s opening AFCON 2025 Group C match against Tanzania.
He shared the betting slip on his X page, revealing he predicted that both teams would score in the match. If the prediction comes through, Davido could walk away with 96,564 (about N140 million).
This high-stakes wager comes months after he lost 10,000 betting on Nigeria’s World Cup playoff against Gabon, a match the Super Eagles failed to win.
The team will face Tanzania on December 23 at the Complexe Sportif de Fès in Morocco, as they begin their campaign for a fourth AFCON title. Fans are now watching to see if Davido’s luck will change this time around.
