Nigerian multi-talented singer, Simi has said that she delayed the release of her new track, “Woman” because of her pregnancy.
The songstress made this known via a reply to a tweet of one Chief Reni who asked rhetorically the year she recorded the track.
The fan had written, “Simi recorded WOMAN in 2019?” as the mother-of-one replied “Yep, dem gimme Belle, so I decided to wait.”
Musician and husband to the 33-year-old, Adekunle Gold humourously took to the comment section to praise himself, saying he wasn’t “small.”
“Shey AG baby was kére ni?,” he wrote.
Recall that Simi recently started a #NobodyLikeWoman challenge on Instagram which encourages women to share the ugly and degrading words that had been hurled at them.
The challenge has since received support from a number of female celebrities such as Tonto Dikeh, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Annie Idibia to mention a few.
Meanwhile, her new song “Woman” has won the heart of fans as many took to Twitter to praise the singer.
