The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adedeji, also known as Jandor, met secretly with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
This meeting, which took place between 2 pm and 4 pm, was not publicly announced.
Jandor, the 2023 Lagos governorship candidate for the PDP, had resigned from the party citing “indiscipline and anti-party activities” but did not disclose his next move, BlackBox Nigeria reported.
Prior to joining the PDP, Jandor was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) but later decided to join PDP in the last general election in order to achieve his dream.
According to reports, Jandor’s meeting with President Tinubu may be a “fence-mending” move, potentially signaling the start of political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Jandor has also met with other key political figures, including former heads of state Ibrahim Babangmanida and Abdulsalami Abubakar, as well as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and senior officials of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
