Atebo Yusuf Owolewa, popularly known as Ayo Nbo, an aspirant for local government chairman in Ikorodu, has unveiled plans to alleviate financial burdens on parents of public primary school pupils.
During a recent campaign address, Atebo declared his intention to eliminate the collection of markers and grass cutting fees, which currently strain the resources of educational institutions in the area.
“Our primary schools should be places of learning, not financial strain for parents and guardians,” Atebo emphasized to a crowd of supporters. “I am committed to ensuring that pupils in our public primary schools no longer have to bear the cost of markers and grass cutting.”
Additionally, Atebo pledged to establish specialized departments, including IT and home economics centers, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for local pupils.
With approximately 10,099 pupils spread across 16 primary schools in Ikorodu, the move is aimed at fostering a conducive learning environment without additional financial hurdles.
