Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, shared an emotional moment from his life at the United Masters Select Con event on Sunday.
The artist expressed his joy at discovering that he and his wife, Chioma, were expecting twins, a blessing that came in the same month his son, Ifeanyi, tragically passed away.
The couple, who had been in the spotlight since the birth of their newborn twins, finally opened up about their emotional journey.
Davido recounted the moment they found out about the twins, stating that they were both shaking with surprise and happiness.
“When my wife and I found out, we were shaking, and it was in the same month my son passed. My son passed away last year in October, and my wife gave birth this year in October.”
The singer’s son, Ifeanyi, sadly lost his life in a pool incident at their home in October 2022, a devastating event that shook the family.
However, the subsequent birth of a baby boy and girl in the same month this year provided a ray of hope for their grief.
“I was at the point of giving up. A beautiful boy and girl came back in double. I kept the faith despite it being very hard,” Davido shared, emphasizing the importance of resilience and faith during challenging times.
