In an evolving democracy such as it is practiced in Nigeria, a legislator performs more than just legislative functions as other productive roles not limited to legislation, representation, facilitation, lobbying and oversights on the executive arm for the unity and progress of the constituency are expected.

In a statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria, Hon. Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu representing Epe II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, said he see his legislative position as an avenue to engineer sustainable development in Epe and Lagos State as a whole. He noted that the notion of lawmakers not making only laws but providing holistic representation, is what is propelling him to strive for the peaceful coexistence in the community by facilitating cooperation amongst the warring parties.

He (Sketel) added that it is the same focus  that drove him to play the major role in aligning the demands of the Senior Staff Union of Colleges of Education in Nigeria (SSUCOEN), Non-Acedemic Staff Union (NASU), Colleges of Education Acedemic Staff Union (COEASU) and the Provost of MOCPED, Ass. Prof. Nosiru Olajide Onibon to ensure that all lingering crisis in the college are quelled for the progress and development of the institution.

Hon Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu sue for lasting peace to ensure the institution attends the best of itself.
