Fuji legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as Kwam 1 has come under fire over the title of his upcoming album, Timeless which is set to be released on April 14.
The album, which bears the same name as Davido’s record-breaking album which was released on March 31st, has subjected Kwam 1 to a series of bashing with social media users accusing him of copying Davido’s album.
Netizens also claimed that the Fuji singer was trying to use the popularity of Davido’s album to promote his upcoming album.
“Agbaya wan use Davido album title promote him album after dem go say wetin old man wey sit down Dey see small pikin wey climb tree no fit see am,” @papillion wrote.
Another Twitter user, @dreetemy further expressed, “We only know one real timeless.”
Others, however, defended Kwam 1 saying that his album had been announced in August 2021 but it was delayed thus they claimed that it was Davido who had copied the Fuji star and not the other way around.
“K1 first called d name of his new album Timeless sometime in 2021 b4 Davido,na there Davido got his album title from,” @2dardy reacted.
