It is certainly not the best of times for operators and those plying the Ebute Ikorodu Ferry terminal as a visible sight at the scene of boarding a ferry are that of Water Hyacinth floating everywhere thereby clogging the smooth operation of these ferries.
At the scene today, our correspondent gathered that the mere sight of the terminal may spell looming dangers if concerned authorities fail to do something urgently as the hyacinths is gradually spreading across the waterways.

Aside the looming dangers posed by this development, this may also discourage daily users of this ferries who make it their choice due to the heavy vehicle traffic experienced in plying Lagos-Ikorodu road and the abysmal service offered BRT buses where commuters queue for hours .
