Ace music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has declared that his former signee, Wande Coal, possesses the best vocals in the Nigerian music industry.
The award-winning producer made the statement during an interactive session with fans on X on Wednesday.
A fan had complimented Don Jazzy, describing his voice as the best and most unique in the Nigerian music scene.
Responding, the Mavin founder modestly agreed that his voice is unique but insisted that Wande Coal’s vocal talent surpasses all others.
“Most unique I agree, best na Wande [Coal],” Don Jazzy wrote.
Wande Coal, who was one of Don Jazzy’s earliest signees under the now-defunct Mo’ Hits Records, is often celebrated for his smooth vocals and influence on contemporary Afrobeats.
Over the years, top artists including Wizkid, Fireboy DML, and Oxlade have credited him as a major source of inspiration.
The singer, known for timeless hits such as Ololufe, You Bad, and Iskaba, has maintained a reputation as one of the most technically gifted vocalists in Nigerian pop music.
