Former Super Eagles star Victor Moses is set to headline activities as Chelsea FC prepares for a landmark visit to Lagos in May as part of its global fan engagement programme.
The English Premier League side confirmed that the visit its first ever to Nigeria will feature a series of fan-focused activities aimed at strengthening ties with its large supporter base in the country.
According to the club, the Lagos event will be part of “The Famous CFC” initiative, a global outreach programme designed to connect the team with fans across different cities worldwide.
Moses, a former Chelsea winger and Premier League winner, is expected to play a central role during the visit, engaging directly with fans through interactive sessions, including a question-and-answer segment.
He won the premier league with Chelsea in 2016/17 season and retired from international duties in 2018.
The programme will also include watch parties, fan experiences and opportunities for attendees to win signed merchandise, creating what organisers describe as a “packed weekend of action” for supporters in Lagos.
Chelsea noted that the Lagos stop will be one of several destinations in its international fan tour this season, reflecting its effort to deepen connections with supporters globally as the campaign draws to a close.
The visit is expected to draw significant attention given the club’s strong following in Nigeria, built over the years through the presence of notable Nigerian players such as Moses and John Obi Mikel.
Fans interested in attending the event have been encouraged to register, although participation will be subject to selection through a ballot system, according to the club.
The planned visit marks a significant moment for Nigerian football fans, offering a rare opportunity to interact closely with one of Europe’s top clubs and a former national team star on home soil.
