Vice President Yemi Osinbajo laments about his salary, says himself and President Buhari are poorly paid
Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that he earns a monthly income of N1.5m as Vice President of the country. He however believes the salary is poor when compared to the office he holds.
Prof. Osinbajo further revealed that President Muhammadu earns about N1.75m stating that the pay is not commensurate with the offices they occupy.
The Vice President was speaking at the end-of-year seminar of the State House Press Corps at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja where he revealed that both himself and President Buhari are poorly paid.
He also frowned at private companies who have not complied with the national minimum wage law which puts the lowest pay at N18,000.
He further called on media owners to ensure that journalists are well paid siting his experience as a legal adviser to media houses who however refused to pay.
